  When I first installed Microsoft Office 2013 on my PC, I was very excited to see the new interface and new features. But as soon as I started to type in the new Microsoft Word, all my excitement turned into despair. The typing appeared to be very slow and labored. My fingers seemed to make extra effort and the Word was not responding well. I am a very patient person, but this made me very mad not only because of the pain I was feeling in my fingers, but also because I could not find any settings in Office to make things a little faster. After a couple of hours of pulling my hair in a state of vivid ire, I finally managed to make Microsoft Word a little better as far as the typing is concerned. If you are also a fast typist like myself, then you can also deliver yourself from the delay caused by the animated typing feature in Microsoft Word 2013 in the following manner: Open Microsoft Word, click on  File  and then  Options .
